Lanshi Heat Exchange Completes Its Largest Fully Welded Round Plate-and-Shell Heat Exchanger

A large fully welded round plate-and-shell heat exchanger for industrial refrigeration, designed and manufactured by Lanzhou Lanshi Heat Exchange Equipment Co., Ltd., has arrived at the customer's project site, where installation and commissioning will begin shortly.

The unit combines the high heat transfer efficiency of a plate heat exchanger with the high-temperature and high-pressure capability of a shell-and-tube heat exchanger. With a heat transfer area of more than 1,300 m², it is the largest single fully welded round plate-and-shell heat exchanger Lanshi has built to date. It offers high heat transfer efficiency, strong pressure-bearing capacity and good sealing performance, and achieves both structural strength and manufacturing precision despite its very large heat transfer area.

During development, Lanshi addressed the demanding requirements of refrigeration service for low-temperature performance, pressure cycling and sealing reliability, working through every stage from process calculation and structural optimization to material selection, inspection and testing to complete the manufacturing successfully.

The unit fills a gap in Lanshi's portfolio for this type of product in refrigeration applications, and is another important result of Lanshi Heavy Equipment's continued efforts to strengthen its R&D and manufacturing of high-end heat exchange equipment and to support green, low-carbon development. Lanshi said it will fully support on-site installation and commissioning to ensure the unit enters service to a high standard and creates value for the customer.
