Accessen MP Series Units Earn CE Certification, Supporting BYD’s Commercial Vehicle Plant in Hungary

Shanghai Accessen Co., Ltd. recently announced that its MP series units have completed the full EU CE certification process after rigorous testing by TÜV Rheinland. Building on the CE certification it already holds for its plate heat exchangers, Accessen has now obtained an important qualification for bringing its system integration and solutions to the EU market. The certified units serve the commercial vehicle (electric bus and truck) plant of BYD Auto Hungary, where Accessen provides efficient, professional and reliable heat exchange solutions for this flagship European new-energy commercial vehicle factory. Together with the successful delivery of a US project in 2026, this shows that the company's system integration and solutions meet demanding standards worldwide, including those of the EU and the United States.
The CE certification was carried out by TÜV Rheinland, an internationally recognized certification body. Full type testing was completed in accordance with EN ISO 12100:2010, Safety of machinery – General principles for design – Risk assessment and risk reduction. After comprehensive testing, the MP series heat exchange unit prototype passed every test item and met all safety requirements of Annex I of the EU Machinery Directive. The units' mechanical safety design, risk control and reliability all meet the entry standards for industrial equipment in Europe.
The MP series (MP modular energy-saving units) is Accessen's flagship standardized, modular heat exchange package. In May 2024 it was rated a Class A project for the commercialization of high-tech achievements in Shanghai. Unlike traditional custom-built units, the MP series moves heat exchange units from customization to standardization. Each unit integrates high-efficiency plate heat exchangers, circulation pump sets, piping and valve assemblies, an energy-saving control system and Accessen's smart cloud service software. This solves common problems with custom, non-standard equipment, such as inconsistent design and performance, difficult spare-parts management and high operating energy consumption. The units suit a wide range of applications, including heating and HVAC, process cooling and industrial plants, delivering both economic and social benefits.
BYD Auto Hungary's commercial vehicle (electric bus and truck) plant is BYD's core commercial vehicle production base in Europe and handles the local manufacture of electric buses and trucks. The plant's production lines and building HVAC systems place very high demands on the safety, stability, energy efficiency and regulatory compliance of heat exchange equipment. With their compact modular structure, efficient heat transfer and comprehensive safety design, the MP series units can handle the complex conditions of large overseas industrial plants and provide efficient, reliable heating and cooling infrastructure for projects abroad. Because CE marking is mandatory in the European Economic Area, obtaining it means the units fully meet local EU regulations before they leave the factory, providing key compliance support for fast delivery and on-site acceptance and keeping the project on schedule.
The units are fully tested in the factory before shipment, so on site they only need simple pipe connections and parameter settings before going into operation. Fitted with temperature, pressure and flow sensors, they support data synchronization and remote monitoring and run automatically under PLC control, reducing the workload of routine inspection and maintenance. The CE certification of the MP series is strong evidence that the products' safety performance meets top international standards, and it reflects the company's R&D strength, product design capability and international experience. Accessen has subsidiaries in Hong Kong (China), Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, serves more than 100 countries and regions, and supplies products that comply with international codes and standards including ASME, CE, AHRI, API, DNV, GL, LR, ABS, BV, NK, KR, CCS, RINA, RS, EAC, CCC and GB. Overseas business now accounts for more than 50% of its revenue, and the company aims to become a leading global provider of heat exchange solutions.
